Today at work we had a theme about music. What we are listing now, and what in past.
Remembering, I can say I really listened to all genres of music...
My parent listened old croatian rock mostly. The most popular bands in Croatia in those days were Crvena Jabuka, Prljavo kazaliste, Bijelo dugme, Parni valjak and others.
Over the years, they have not changed their taste for music much.
What could not be said for me.
It was really mix of everything. From rock, metal to pop.
Of course at first I was listening kids song little spider, on croatian.
Then as you can assumed, old croatian rock.
When I was five years I started to watch a german televison, mostly becuse there where more and better cartoons then on our television.
During that time I learned german. I knew all the songs of each cartoon. All of the song was more like pop.
So I started to like pop songs.
At the age of 7-10 my roll model was Britney Spears. She had the best songs, best outfit best everything.
Of course we must mention boy bands like Backstreet boy, N'sync, O town and others.
Later came Eminem phase, I knew every song he published. He was just awsome!
The pop/hip hop phase lasted to high school and then came the dark side, metal. That phase lasted not so long. Is was more rebeling becuse of my parents.
At the end and now I listen most Rnb (Beyonce, Adele), hip hop (Eminem.. ) , rock (U2, RHCP) , better saying everything what I like or how I feel at a moment.
I'm so glad I have listened to all of genres of music. Cuz in every moment I can related to difrrent kind of music and know a lot of songs (and knowing something can never be wrong).
