Ortho surgery

My friend Dan just had a knee surgery... He is a trooper and is doing well... Surgery had no complications as of yet... His surgeon said the surgery was successful.. He is high on pain meds... LoL... When he came to after surgery he looked like a deer caught in the headlights... He had no idea where he was or what happened... He was discharged within 30 hrs... Meaning he only was there the night... He is doing well aside from the pain on the knee... We brought home a ton of ice pack for the swelling... I have been up the last 48 hrs now and need a nap or just good sleep... I sterilized and cleaned the whole house prepping for the surgery 2days before and I washed all the linens and towels he would use... I'm just tired... But i got to know a few equipments being used now at the hospital... So far he is doing well... He is starting physical therapy Thursday and 3x a week... We have been doing therapy every hr at home to loosen the muscles... Its excruciating to watch him walk with difficulty around the house...
