When it comes to trending topics in social media, there are most of them I am not interested in. More reason Facebook algorithm doesn't bring them my way. I mentioned Facebook because that's the only social media I am most active.
But, when it comes to trending topics that concerns women, that's where my interest is.

A lot has been trending lately on Facebook, from a mom who gave out her daughter she single handedly trained her hand in marriage, to another who's brother walked her down the aisle.
The funniest part is that, their fathers are still alive. And some men, I use to call them 'men of a particular concern ' have been crying and mentioning tradition.
The same tradition that could not hold the men responsible for abandoning their daughters.

That aside,
Lets get to the latest trending gist. So, someone got a second wife without the knowledge of the first wife, the first wife even got to know that the husband has gotten a second wife online.

While I was scrolling through the comment section, one comment stood out, according to the commenter, a man doesn't need the approval of the first wife to get a new wife.
The screenshot below is what I m talking about..

As you can see on the image.
A female replied " may what you say happen to your own daughter and I hope you'll accept it whole heartedly".
And all hell was let loose. He actually wants someone's daughter to go through certain inhumane treatment, but doesn't want his own daughter to go through same in the hands of another man who has the same mindset as his.

This further confirms the saying that, people cannot take a bit of what they dish out to another person.
And the man's reply?
It reeks of double standards.
Imagine being comfortable with another man's daughter being treated in a way he considered acceptable, but when someone wished the same experience on his own daughter,it suddenly became personal.

So, what I'm saying in essence is that, anything you wouldn't accept it for your close person, perhaps you should think twice before demanding that another person accept it.
That, to me, is the main lesson learnt on this trending topic.
Thanks for stopping by!
