Before Hive, I mostly saw social media as a place to scroll, watch, react, and move on.
I wasn't interested in creating content at all.
If someone should have a look at my Facebook profile, my timeline is so dry. It's not as if I am not always online. I'm very active.
Mine is to see a post, like it, maybe drop a comment, laugh at a video, and continue scrolling. Hours could disappear without leaving anything meaningful behind.

Then about two months ago, I discovered Hive. And the journey so far has been interesting. It has also changed the way I look at being online.

Hive made me realize that I don't always have to consume content only. It made me realize that I can also create something that stays.Because of hive, I started paying more attention to my everyday experiences and details because almost anything can become a story.Even in my alone time or while having a discussion with someone, a random thought can become a post.
A difficult experience can become a lesson.
I even discovered that even a photograph of a shadow can become a conversation.
I mean, a whole lot of things ca become a post.

But the biggest change for me has been connection.
On many social platforms, engagement can feel like numbers. Views, likes, followers, shares...
On Hive, I've found myself actually reading people's stories, visiting their blogs, leaving meaningful comments, and discovering perspectives from people I probably would never have met on other social media platforms.
And there's something beautiful about knowing that the person behind the username isn't just another account in a feed or a bot. There's a real person, with experiences, struggles, opinions, creativity and stories.

Hive has also changed how I spend my time online.I'm becoming more intentional.
I don't just scroll through social media platforms just to make comments or like a post. I do that because I know that I can take one or two points and write about. This, to me,is a completely different mindset.

Though I'm still learning. I'm still discovering communities, tokens, rewards, curation and everything else that comes with Hive.
But perhaps the biggest thing Hive has given me isn't the rewards.

It's the realization that my experiences are content, my thoughts have value, and my voice deserves a place on the internet.

Maybe that's the biggest difference between simply being online and actually building something online.

Thanks for reading through!
