Friends,
Today let me share with you the life story of one of my school friends.
His name is Partha Sarathi Basu.
We studied together from class three. Earlier he was in another section but afterward, he came to our section.
As he was a newcomer to our section it took time for friendship bonding. He was seating on the last bench of the class with my other friends.
Though I was the first boy of my section I used to seat on the third bench so that I can gossip with my last three benches and my front two benches friends comfortably.
We were not very good friends up to class eight, but after that, we became good friends. Partha left the school after the class ten exams and was admitted to a college, I continued till class twelve.
As he was staying nearby our school we often met after school hours while returning home from school.
I heard that he has started a business with his local friend. The business was of electrical wire.
He was supplying wires to different newly constructed buildings and offices with his bicycle. He was earning around five hundred rupees per month from this business.
He was working hard besides continuing his studies.
In between due to my higher studies and other priorities we lost contact with each other for almost ten-twelve years.
We met again at the school alumni reunion. Partha came with his wife and his beautiful very young daughter. We hugged each other and asking whereabouts.
Partha said he is in the telecommunication tower maintenance business with his old local friend.
They have a well-furnished three-storied office in the posh area of Kolkata. They have their two offices in North Bengal and office staff of around 1200 people.
He said he has shifted his residence to other places, bought three flats in posh areas, and also bought lands in Shantiniketan and flats in North Bengal.
He did all this through his small business, started from class eleven with his business partner and he did all of these with his hard work and commitments.
He travels around the world with his family for pleasure at least three times a year.
Recently he has purchased a villa on the outskirt of Kolkata, which he has reconstructed into a beautiful palace with a garden, trees, and pond.
Partha is a living example for me that if a normal person is hard and smart working, devoted, consistent, and will to do better can reach a height which some person can dream of.
