Lets get you up to speed on the Blazer.
I removed the steering shaft, parking brake, and brake lines at the master cylinder. These were the final pieces required for me to remove the entire body from the vehicle. These older vehicles are nice for being a body-on-frame design. Removing the body will allow me to weld new supports and floors in where needed. It also allows me to do all the chassis, line, engine, drivetrain, and exhaust work extremly easily. Depending on what engine I put i nm, I can test fit the body to see if any modifications are required for fitment.

Next I removed the bumpers to protect them and get them out of the way. Then I began to remove the rear driveshaft and transfer case. This would enable me to lift the engine and transmission clear out.
The engine is now lifted out of the motor mounts with transmission still attached. Sadly, a Ford motor and transmission is on my engine cart and engine stand, so I have to do this on a makeshift cart. The next step will be separating the transmission by removing the flex plate and unbolting the bellhousing. Then I will have to strip a head cylinder off the engine to discover what size and shape the bore is. More on that in the next update.
