Hi everyone, I'm lorentm and today I want to share with you my latest creation: a fan art of the character "Water Caller" from Splinterlands, but in the Simpsons style.
As many of you know, I'm a big fan of pop culture and I love to incorporate elements of popular culture in my art. So, when I saw that Splinterlands had already published their "Social Media" section this week, I couldn't resist participating with a fan art.
The character "Water Caller" has always caught my attention because of his unique design and in-game abilities. So I decided to give him my own twist by turning him into a Simpsons character. I love how the Simpsons are able to capture the essence of a character in a simplified yet personality-filled style.
The process of creating this fan art was both fun and challenging. First, I had to research the most salient characteristics of the Simpsons characters in order to incorporate them into my "Water Caller" design. Then, I worked on composition and color to achieve a cohesive and attractive end result.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, soy una gran fan de la cultura pop y me encanta incorporar elementos de la cultura popular en mi arte. Por eso, cuando vi de que Splinterlands ya hab铆a publicado su secci贸n "Social Media" de esta semana, no pude resistirme a participar con un fan art.
El personaje "Water Caller" siempre me ha llamado la atenci贸n por su dise帽o 煤nico y sus habilidades en el juego. As铆 que decid铆 darle mi propio toque al convertirlo en un personaje de los Simpsons. Me encanta c贸mo los Simpsons son capaces de capturar la esencia de un personaje en un estilo simplificado pero a la vez lleno de personalidad.
El proceso de creaci贸n de este fan art fue muy divertido y desafiante a la vez. Primero, tuve que investigar las caracter铆sticas m谩s sobresalientes de los personajes de los Simpsons para poder incorporarlas en mi dise帽o de "Water Caller". Luego, trabaj茅 en la composici贸n y el color para lograr un resultado final coherente y atractivo.

First, I started looking for references of Simpsons characters to study their style and find inspiration for my design. Then, I started sketching on my tablet to define the pose and composition of the drawing. Once I was satisfied with the sketch, I started working on the drawing. I used different layers to separate the elements and make editing easier. First, I created an outline layer on top of the one I drew the sketch on, on this I drew the final lines of the drawing with a hard line brush.
Once I had the final lines, I created another layer below the outline layer to add the base colors. I chose the colors that best suited the character and applied them in large, flat areas to cover the entire drawing. Then, I created additional layers to add shadows and highlights in the corresponding areas. I was careful to use a color palette that stayed true to the Simpsons style.
Finally, I adjusted the colors and added final details to give the character a touch of personality. After several hours of work, the digital drawing of the Simpsons-style "Water Caller" character was ready.
In summary, the process of creating this digital drawing involved finding inspiration, pencil sketching, digitizing the sketch, creating the final lines, applying the base colors, adding shadows and highlights and final details. En primer lugar, comenc茅 buscando referencias de los personajes de los Simpsons para estudiar su estilo y encontrar inspiraci贸n para mi dise帽o. Luego, empec茅 a hacer bocetos en mi tablet para definir la pose y la composici贸n del dibujo. Una vez que estaba satisfecha con el boceto, comenc茅 a trabajar en el dibujo. Utilic茅 diferentes capas para separar los elementos y facilitar la edici贸n. Primero, cre茅 una capa de delineado encima de la que trace el boceto, en esta trac茅 las l铆neas finales del dibujo con un pincel de l铆nea dura.
Una vez que tuve las l铆neas finales, cre茅 otra capa debajo de la capa de l铆neas para agregar los colores base. Eleg铆 los colores que mejor se adaptaban al personaje y los apliqu茅 en 谩reas grandes y planas para cubrir todo el dibujo. Luego, cre茅 capas adicionales para agregar sombras y luces en las 谩reas correspondientes. Fui cuidadosa de utilizar una paleta de colores que se mantuviera fiel al estilo de los Simpsons.
Finalmente, ajust茅 los colores y agregu茅 detalles finales para darle un toque de personalidad al personaje. Despu茅s de varias horas de trabajo, el dibujo digital del personaje "Water Caller" al estilo de los Simpsons estuvo listo.
En resumen, el proceso de creaci贸n de este dibujo digital implic贸 la b煤squeda de inspiraci贸n, el bocetado a l谩piz, la digitalizaci贸n del boceto, la creaci贸n de las l铆neas finales, la aplicaci贸n de los colores base, la adici贸n de sombras y luces y los detalles finales.
