In the dark, futuristic streets of Neo-Gotham, a mysterious figure emerges: Selene, the cat-eyed thief. From the moment I began designing her, I wanted to capture the intriguing, feline essence of Catwoman, but with a fresh, youthful twist that resonated with the anime aesthetic.
Selene, with her dark blue hair, falls in soft waves over her shoulders, framing a determined face full of secrets. I wanted her expression to convey both determination and mystery, reflecting her life as a thief in a city full of shadows and neon lights.
For her outfit, I opted for a tight purple suit, highlighting her agility and elegance. The silver details adorning her costume sparkle under the lightning, bringing a touch of futurism that fits perfectly with the Neo-Gotham setting. A high collar and front zipper give him that modern, edgy look, while a cat-shaped pendant on his collar adds a personal, symbolic touch.
The pointed ears, integrated into a sort of headband or glasses, are one of my favorite details. They peek over his forehead, with pink lenses hiding his eyes, giving him an enigmatic yet functional look for his nocturnal escapades.
The urban backdrop, illuminated by lightning, not only highlights her figure, but adds a dynamic and risqu茅 touch to this depiction of Catwoman. I wanted the environment to reflect the energy and tension of Neo-Gotham, a city that never sleeps and is always on the brink of chaos.

Para su atuendo, opt茅 por un traje morado ce帽ido, destacando su agilidad y elegancia. Los detalles plateados que adornan su traje destellan bajo la luz de los rel谩mpagos, aportando un toque de futurismo que encaja perfectamente en el ambiente de Neo-Gotham. Un cuello alto y una cremallera frontal le dan ese aspecto moderno y vanguardista, mientras que un colgante en forma de gato en su cuello a帽ade un toque personal y simb贸lico.
Las orejas puntiagudas, integradas en una especie de diadema o gafas, son uno de mis detalles favoritos. Se asoman por encima de su frente, con lentes rosados que ocultan sus ojos, d谩ndole una apariencia enigm谩tica y a la vez funcional para sus escapadas nocturnas.
El fondo urbano, iluminado por rayos, no solo resalta su figura, sino que a帽ade un toque din谩mico y arriesgado a esta representaci贸n de Catwoman. Quer铆a que el entorno reflejara la energ铆a y la tensi贸n de Neo-Gotham, una ciudad que nunca duerme y siempre est谩 al borde del caos.

Process / Proceso
The process of creating this digital drawing of Selene, the teenage Catwoman, was an exciting journey that began with the sketching phase. Initially, I made several quick, loose strokes to capture Selene's pose and expression. This stage is crucial, as it allows me to experiment with different poses and design elements before deciding on the final composition. In the sketch, I made sure that her figure conveyed both agility and mystery, with special attention to the fluidity of her hair and dynamic pose.
Once the sketch was ready, I moved on to outlining. Here, I used sharper and more precise strokes to shape Selene. At this stage, it's all about refining the contours and making sure all the details are well outlined. The pointed ears and glasses with pink lenses received special attention, as they are distinctive elements of her design. Outlining is one of the most detailed parts of the process, where every line counts to bring the character to life in a crisp and coherent way.
The next step was coloring, one of my favorite parts. For Selene's dark blue hair, I used a palette of cool tones that contrast beautifully with her purple outfit. This outfit was colored in various shades of purple and silver, highlighting her futuristic details. During coloring, I also added the urban background with dark tones and neon flashes to capture the essence of Neo-Gotham.
Then, I applied shadows to give depth and volume to the drawing. The shadows on the hair, the suit and the environment help to emphasize the shapes and create a sense of three-dimensionality. I paid special attention to the areas where natural light and lightning reflections would interact with her figure, creating more intense shadows in the less illuminated parts and softer shadows in the areas exposed to light.
To finish, I added glitter and reflections that bring a touch of realism and vitality to the character. The silver details of his suit were enhanced with shiny reflections, and the pink lenses of his glasses also received small sparkles to simulate reflected light. This final touch of glitter helps bring the character to life, making her seem part of her dynamic, urban environment.
Each stage of the process, from the initial sketch to the final sparkles, was essential to creating a vibrant and captivating representation of Selene, the teenage Catwoman. This artistic journey allowed me to experience and enjoy designing a character that perfectly blends feline elegance and nocturnal rebelliousness in an anime style.
El proceso de creaci贸n de este dibujo digital de Selene, la adolescente Catwoman, fue una traves铆a emocionante que comenz贸 con la fase de boceto. Inicialmente, realic茅 varios trazos r谩pidos y sueltos para capturar la postura y la expresi贸n de Selene. Esta etapa es crucial, ya que me permite experimentar con diferentes poses y elementos del dise帽o antes de decidirme por la composici贸n final. En el boceto, me asegur茅 de que su figura transmitiera tanto agilidad como misterio, con especial atenci贸n a la fluidez de su cabello y la postura din谩mica.
Una vez que el boceto estuvo listo, pas茅 al delineado. Aqu铆, utilic茅 trazos m谩s definidos y precisos para dar forma a Selene. En esta fase, se trata de refinar los contornos y asegurarse de que todos los detalles est茅n bien delineados. Las orejas puntiagudas y las gafas con lentes rosados recibieron especial atenci贸n, ya que son elementos distintivos de su dise帽o. El delineado es una de las partes m谩s detalladas del proceso, donde cada l铆nea cuenta para dar vida al personaje de manera n铆tida y coherente.
El siguiente paso fue el coloreado, una de mis partes favoritas. Para el cabello azul oscuro de Selene, utilic茅 una paleta de tonos fr铆os que contrastan maravillosamente con su traje morado. Este traje fue coloreado en varios matices de morado y plateado, destacando sus detalles futuristas. Durante el coloreado, tambi茅n a帽ad铆 el fondo urbano con tonos oscuros y destellos de ne贸n para capturar la esencia de Neo-Gotham.
Luego, apliqu茅 sombras para darle profundidad y volumen al dibujo. Las sombras en el cabello, el traje y el entorno ayudan a enfatizar las formas y a crear un sentido de tridimensionalidad. Prest茅 especial atenci贸n a las 谩reas donde la luz natural y los reflejos de los rel谩mpagos interactuar铆an con su figura, creando sombras m谩s intensas en las partes menos iluminadas y m谩s suaves en las zonas expuestas a la luz.
Para finalizar, a帽ad铆 brillos y reflejos que aportan un toque de realismo y vitalidad al personaje. Los detalles plateados de su traje fueron realzados con reflejos brillantes, y los lentes rosados de sus gafas tambi茅n recibieron peque帽os destellos para simular la luz reflejada. Este 煤ltimo toque de brillos ayuda a dar vida al personaje, haci茅ndola parecer parte de su entorno urbano y din谩mico.
Cada etapa del proceso, desde el boceto inicial hasta los 煤ltimos brillos, fue esencial para crear una representaci贸n vibrante y cautivadora de Selene, la adolescente Catwoman. Este viaje art铆stico me permiti贸 experimentar y disfrutar del dise帽o de un personaje que mezcla perfectamente la elegancia felina y la rebeld铆a nocturna en un estilo anime.
