Greetings guys, have a happy weekend, I'm back with another Disney publication, I'm a big fan of this franchise and I love all their characters, besides they bring me good and beautiful memories of my childhood in my beloved Venezuela. To get a little nostalgic today I want to share with you another great classic, it's Aladdin, for this design I was inspired by an iconic scene from the movie, where the main character meets the magic lamp for the first time, adapting it to my drawing style. Now I will explain the step by step, I hope you like it. Without further ado, let's get started.
Saludos chicos, tengan todos un feliz fin de semana, estoy de vuelta con otra publicación de Disney, soy muy fanática a esta franquicia y me encantan todos sus personajes, además que me traen buenos y bonitos recuerdos de mi infancia en mi querida Venezuela. Para ponernos un poco nostálgicos hoy les quiero compartir otro gran clásico, se trata de Aladdin, para este diseño me inspire en una icónica escena de la película, donde el protagonista se encuentra por primera vez con la lámpara mágica, adaptándola a mi estilo de dibujo. Ahora pasare a explicar el paso a paso, espero que les guste. Sin más que decir empecemos.
With soft strokes and using the pencil brush I begin to make guide lines, here I give form to the character of Aladdin, I determine the proportions of the body, position of hands and general characteristics of the face, in addition I indicate the place where the lamp will go and the stone where it rests.
Con trazos suaves y usando el pincel lápiz empiezo a realizar líneas guías, acá le doy forma al personaje de Aladdin, determino las proporciones del cuerpo, posición de manos y características generales del rostro, además indico el lugar donde ira la lámpara y la piedra donde reposa esta.
Now we move on to the process of refining the drawing, for this purpose I separate the drawing by layers, the hair, body and clothing are made separately, as well as the lamp and stone, all this to facilitate any correction of it.
Ahora pasamos al proceso de refinado del dibujo, para tal fin separo el dibujo por capas, el cabello, cuerpo y vestimenta los realizo por separado, al igual que la lámpara y la piedra, todo esto para facilitar cualquier corrección del mismo.
As in the previous step, to facilitate the coloring of the drawing, I proceed to divide it into sections using different layers for each section, which are: skin, clothing, hair, the rock and the magic lamp, with the marker brush I apply the color taking care not to get out of the lines.
Como en el paso anterior, para facilitar el coloreado del dibujo, procedo a dividirlo en secciones usando capas diferentes para cada sección, las cuales son: piel, vestimenta, cabello, la roca y la lámpara mágica, con el pincel rotulador voy aplicando el color teniendo cuidado de no salirme de las líneas.
I proceed to take the color of the area where I am going to darken, under its brightness, I increase a little the saturation, I create a new layer as a mixture multiply and with the help of the airbrush I apply these shadows. I also take the opportunity to add some texture to the rock.
Procedo a tomar el color de la zona donde voy a oscurecer, bajo su brillo, aumento un poco la saturación, creo una nueva capa a modo mezcla multiplicar y con ayuda del pincel aerógrafo aplico dichas sombras. También aprovecho para agregar un poco de textura a la roca.
I use the same technique of shading, but this time increasing the brightness and lowering a little saturation of the color, I create a new layer as a mix and apply each brightness by sections using the airbrush, so I avoid mixing the colors with each other. As an extra step and personal touch, I also like to add a certain brightness to the outline of the drawing to make it stand out more.
Uso la misma técnica del sombreado, pero esta vez aumentando el brillo y bajando un poco saturación del color, creo una nueva capa a modo mezcla añadir y aplico cada brillo por secciones usando el pincel aerógrafo, así evito mezclar los colores uno con otros. Como un paso extra y toque personal, me gusta también añadirle un cierto brillo al delineado del dibujo para hacerlo resaltar más.
For the background I wanted to resemble the interior of the cave where the magic lamp is hidden, for this purpose I used a special brush that recreates a rocky texture, the same applied throughout the canvas and without changing the brush add some shadows and brightness to achieve a more realistic effect.
Para el fondo quise asemejar el interior de la cueva donde se encuentra escondida la lámpara mágica, para tal fin use un pincel especial que recrea una textura rocosa, la misma la aplique en todo el lienzo y sin cambiar de pincel agregue algunas sombras y brillos para lograr un efecto mas realista.
To give a more realistic touch to our drawing we applied some flashes of light coming from the top and the reflection of this on the surface of the rock and Aladdin's character.
Para darle un toque más realista a nuestro dibujo aplicamos algunos destellos de luz que provienen de la parte superior y el reflejo de este en la superficie de la roca y del personaje de Aladdin.

- Lápiz Capacitivo (Stylus).
- Programa Ibis Paint X.
- Pinceles: Lapiz, Aerografo, Difumino, Rotulador.
