Solo necesitas empezar a soltar.
ENGLISH VERSION
I've been thinking a lot lately about that storm we all carry inside, the one we keep hidden while trying to maintain the light in our eyes and the smile on our lips. Today I want to share this with you from a deeply honest place—from that space where vulnerability becomes strength.
Recently, I experienced a moment that forced me to pause and question myself: I was trying to control everything around me, as if it were possible to keep every aspect of my life perfect, orderly, presentable. As if a woman had to always be polished, always confident, always capable of handling it all without showing any effort. But life doesn't work that way. And at some point, that tension you hold in your chest, in your shoulders, in the deepest corners of your soul, becomes too heavy to ignore.
What I've noticed is that many of us were raised to contain our emotions. To hide our pain from others. To maintain an image of stability even when we're falling apart on the inside. We were taught that crying is a sign of weakness, that fear is something to be hidden, that sadness is a luxury we can't afford.
But do you know what really happens when you suppress an emotional storm? It explodes in the most unexpected moments. In an outburst of rage without reason. In tears that appear out of nowhere while you're standing in line at the grocery store. In that nocturnal anxiety that won't let you sleep.
I've learned, and I continue learning every day, that letting that personal storm flow is not weakness. It's, quite possibly, the most courageous thing a woman can do. It's allowing yourself to feel completely: the pain, the fear, the anger, the sadness. It's telling the world: "Here I am, vulnerable and real, with no masks, no pretense." It's recognizing that not everything needs to be perfect for our lives to have meaning.
When you decide to let that storm flow—when you finally release it—something beautiful happens. First comes that uncomfortable moment, where you have to face everything you've been avoiding. It hurts. It's scary. But afterwards, when the storm passes, you realize something: the air is lighter. Your body relaxes. You're able to truly breathe. Not because the problems disappeared, but because you stopped carrying the weight of pretending they don't exist.
The question that brings us here today is profound and deserves our full attention: "What personal storm do I need to let flow to make space for calm?" The answer is different for each of us. For some, it means letting go of resentment toward people who hurt us. For others, it's finally admitting they can't handle everything, that they're exhausted, that they need to ask for help. There are those who carry the fear of the future, the kind that grows in darkness when we're alone with our thoughts. And there are those who've spent years waiting for someone to apologize for a hurt that may never be acknowledged.
But here's what I've discovered: that calm we seek, that lightness of spirit we long for, doesn't arrive when everything is perfectly resolved. It arrives when you make the conscious decision to stop carrying what doesn't belong to you. When you recognize that your responsibility ends with yourself, with your actions, with your own heart. You can't change the past. You can't control other people's choices. But you can choose what you carry in your soul today.
Letting the storm flow is an act of beautiful rebellion. It's telling everything that wants to keep you trapped:
"No. I'm done with this game." It's giving yourself permission to cry without shame. It's allowing yourself to feel fear without self-judgment. It's screaming if you need to, falling apart if necessary, and then—when the sky clears—realizing that you've never felt more alive than in that moment.
Women are inherently resilient. We've learned to smile when it hurts, to move forward when we're tired, to be strong when the world demands it. But we also deserve to be soft. We deserve to pause. We deserve to let our emotions flow without justification. Because when we do, when we finally allow ourselves to feel completely, we discover a strength that runs even deeper.
So I invite you today to reflect: What is your storm? What have you been carrying for years that could free you if you let it flow? You don't need to have everything figured out before you start. You just need to begin letting go. Because life isn't about being perfect. It's about being authentic, being free, allowing yourself to exist completely.
Breathe deeply. That calm you're searching for is closer than you think. It just needs you to lower your guard enough to let it in.
