This week I thought I'd call this a "special update", vs. the standard weekly.
This is mainly because as the tutorial parts of the game finalise we are able to both play and test, its exciting to see all the work in play and it is greatly increasing our capability to remove bugs "from a players perception" at a new level... this is an exciting time for coding and making a game. We nailed some important side quest stuff and we will keep the focus on the more finer game mechanic things in the form of side quests; Just for those reading for the first time, IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Outdoor dunny meshes finished
The long drop/bucket plop toilet is now a new IBT feature. We created this mesh ourself specifically so we can modify and add new wonderful features to it in the future. With the right tools, this little gem of a place will make a really good fishing expedition where bringing a packed lunch would be optional. Just sift away excitingly through through the mushy lucky dip and you may find a dropped prize left there from an occupant, who was smart enough to leave it behind. As the locals say, "The only fish normally caught here is a blind Mullet".
But fishing can bring fortune sometimes in strange places.......
This mesh comes with the traditional full moon and half moon doors! as shown in the visual above.
Bigger Selection
We started with a few pots and a chest with goodies in them that could be searched and it was pretty cool. Finding a pot here and there and breaking it open during testing was fun. But, how much more fun would it be to add more!
Well it paid off, so now there are even more interactable items to come across while on your journey. Every item in this image above is searchable, the barrels, chest everything. Sometimes they give and sometimes they don't so they are random along with random generic items. The real goodies come from treasure chests but they are not shown in this image. The items shown here will be generic throughout the game.
2nd Part of Tutorial map completed
IBT will have a two part tutorial system so new users can have a feel and get used to the sort of interface we are using. The tutorial on this map will cover controls, views & compass usage. The second tutorial map is a... more open world and our good old friend Gobbo will be there to help out with various training missions! haha.
Thus ends our special update, lots of fun for us now as we use and re-use code to really bring colour to the IBT classic universe.
Cheers and enjoy our upgoats below, thanks to a @ryivhnn
