In these regular updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Meshes to furnish ruins
As IBT Classic will have mini side quests, we have been adding ruins and hidden missions, typical type environments for games like this. The maps looked good but seem a bit empty and needed some sort of furniture or generic objects depending on what environment you're in. Plus, lighting was an issue too, so we have come up with interactive lighting such as flaming torches, candle chandeliers and pit fires.
The lighting flickers slightly giving the environment the feel that it is a fire illuminating the area, but what is really happening is it's a "point light" that has a texture added to it. This makes the fire light (point light) randomly emit different levels of light brightness hence causing the light to flicker like a flame. This gif shows our finished product of what to expect.
Finishing up we have created a real scary feel of being an explorer who has to light up areas when it gets dark...you know to be able to see what you can find and claim for yourself.
And that is it for this update, plenty more to come, and much more happy game making to everyone.
Cheers and enjoy our upgoats below, thanks to a @ryivhnn
