In these weekly updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
A fun week, the characters are taking form, their personalities and their look are starting to match, it's starting to feel like the way we want the game to be, vs. what would have been easy and just rushing another copy-cat game to market. This game isn't bound to the normal rules of a game but will have many aspects that people enjoy - more so for RPG classic style IBT.
Cardboard armour meshes completed
we have finished our first set of armour (special) for IBT. This is for the warrior class. Other classes can wear it also but if it has any magical elements in it the Warrior class is the only class that will benefit. Don't worry though as for rare or unique armour can sometimes fit more than one class. As you can see we have a full set of items from earrings to amulets. There are still two more items to collect but we are still working on them. Some items are classed based too for the slots that are taken up. For example, a warrior class will have gloves where a arrow class will have wrist protection instead.
Quest or Randomly found Treasure Chests
Sparkly things mean sparkly gifts may lurk inside! Most of you gamers out there are familiar with items that sparkle are special items. IBT isn't a dungeon game, its more open world but we added some extra playability into it. Being open world you want to come across something special and unique so we have added chests that may contain goodies. But it may not too, being ripped off can happen on rare occasions too. You see every chest or item that can be searched for is completely random. Its fate that's on your side and not just an item that's going to be there for every single player, every time. We also have added even more random breakable clay pots that may have inside; standard items, premium items or even nothing at all!
Selecting items
Our unique but simplistic approach/ way of dealing with items seems to be working well.
Selecting items from the treasure chest is as simple as dragging and dropping it into your inventory and selecting yes or no to verify your choice.
And that's it for this week's update, just quickly on the demo, we have some packaging issues currently and need to change it abit, but it's definitely in the pipeline.
