In these weekly updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
An excellent week and much progress was made. After a few weeks of grinding, finding the mojo again and the coding continues.
Messy but massive
Most games are based on items you collect. Some items like boots or gloves are always a pair.... But what if you could customize your set? How about a glove of mana on one hand and a glove of health on another? We are looking at making sets of items along with some items that just don't match or an item is lost. I'm sure most people here have lost a sock, or glove and have matched something close to it. With IBT we are looking at a massive inventory of assorted items. When we release it will be a minimum amount but as time goes we have edited it so it's not hard to add extra bits and pieces. In the inventory which we are still developing you can wear rings, amulets and other miscellaneous gear. This gives the game extra gameplay by trying to locate or even craft these items depending on your character and what you find laying around.
More Crafting Materials
Cardboard for the warrior class, what about the magic class? Sometimes you have to make do with what you can find, even if its..... toilet paper? Or magic toilet paper maybe? Make your wonderful magical garments with this material enchanting your fashion with mystical powers that would impress any battle weary warrior. Or if you die in battle it will give your opponent a chance to wipe away any fear they may have suffered seeing you come at them wearing that outfit. (Yes this is a real crafting material for IBT)
Drag Drop Inventory Working
So far its a little messy but working good enough. For example, Dragging and Dropping weapons in weapons slots displays the correct icons and the physical character holds the correct weapon. We have added a reserve slot too for a weapon and or a shield to sit on your back helping you separate your favorite weapons from your second best choice. The inventory slots don't allow any item to just be added to a slot, it must match for it exactly to fit.
