Overview

The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. ๐Ÿ˜

This week the ruleset is the Target Practice, which means that all ranged and magic units gain the Snipe ability.

The Snipe ability will allow to target enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The upcoming Battle ruleset

RulesetDescription
Target PracticeAll Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
Melee MayhemMelee attack Monsters can attack from any position.

The mana cap for my next battle was 37, which is quite good, because it is more than enough to use few high mana monster without thinking too much to assemble my team. It is important to bring a strong off-tank who is ranged or magic attack to sustain a lot of Snipe damage from the opponent team.

The Melee Mayhem helps a lot to build a strong team, because it is possible to assemble a team with only melee attack monsters and they will still be able to attack from the backline. ๐Ÿ˜

My lineup

image.png
Yodin Zaku is one of the best Summoner in the whole game, because he is an UNTAMED card and such they have huge firepower. They cost 7 mana, but they will provide three abilities for their monsters! Zaku gives +1 ranged damage and health to all of his monsters, but more importantly he gives Blast damage to them as well. The Blast damage will damage the adjacent monster next to the target, which is amazing. ๐Ÿ˜œ
Tusk the Wide is a low mana cost tank and he also has quite a lot of health. His most important ability is his Void, which will halves all the incoming magic attack damage targeting him. ๐Ÿ˜†
image.png
image.png
The Venari Marksrat is the perfect addition in this team, because he is a ranged attack monster, so he will get a buff from Yodin, but his most important ability is his Martyr which will buff his adjacent monster if he dies. ๐Ÿ˜Š
Caladuum is my main tank against the Snipe monsters, because he has a lot of health and the ability to halves all the incoming magic attack damage targeting him. He is slow, but his +3 magic attack supported with the Blast is amazing. ๐Ÿ˜‡
image.png
image.png
The Scavo Firebolt cost only four mana and he has an excellent attack damage, which is four with the addition of Yodin's +1 buff. He doesn't have too much health, but if attacks he will damage four on his target and two on his adjacent monsters. ๐Ÿ˜…
The Lava Spider is one mana cheaper and has one less attack than the Scavo Firebolt. He has the Snipe ability on its own, which is amazing to target the enemy backline with his Blast damage. ๐Ÿค—

image.png
I used the Pyrewatch Devil as the last monster in my backline, because he is able to steal health from the enemy monster with his attacks and increase his own. This health gain might be enough to withstand the enemy Sneak monsters unless they would kill him with one shot. ๐Ÿ˜

My opponent used Immortalis within the Earth Splinter, because he wanted to protect them from all the incoming magic attacks, but he didn't expected that I would bring mostly ranged attack monsters. ๐Ÿ˜

In the first round all of my monsters attacked his Failed Summoner thanks to the Snipe abilities, so my monsters also damaged his Magi of Chaos as well and further through the round he eventually died. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have lost only my Venari Marksrat, which further boosted my Caladuum and Tusk the Wide, so it was perfect to lose him first.

In the second round my team and their Blast damage killed three of their squishy backline magic attack monster and only their Elven Defender left on the battlefield.

He was quite sturdy as a tank, but he could not protect his team and eventually he also died as well to provide the victory to my team. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked perfectly, because using Yodin and the Target Practice ruleset in the same time is like the perfect combination. Still if you are expected to go against Yodin, which you can see from the last 5 battle from your opponent than it is possible to setup a defense against it!
