Those barriers are slowly coming down. Especially in terms of technical programming knowledge. Lumen, my frontend a decent example. I am not a developer but I, mainly easily managed to build a social media network with same base features but much more using smart contracts for creator tokens, an algo, lite accounts.
So thats not really the barrier anymore, i dont think. Its more about the mentality, drive, innovation, support. A community has to facilitate growth. If its satisfied with 1 thing then is there room for anythign else? Not room as in technically beign able to build anything, but any room in the minds of the community that is supposed to facilitate growth. Or at least I feel it should.
