That is true. The ads focusing on getting sign ups just dont work well which is why i dumped them. Ive touched on why that is multiple times.
You pulled the chart from Penguinpablo and that chart is Splinterlands creating accounts for their game.
Now take a look at daily accounts transacting for the same time.
Splinterlands hasnt affected all other dapps in the slightest. Now remind yourself on the talks a few weeks ago:
"Promote that you can earn money here from posting!"
No one cares about blogging and its stupidly hard to manage your account for any average user. The focus moving forward will be on the token and trading pairs on the Brave ads landing page.
Looking at the clicks on various options on the Link tree I made, the most clicks would get "Download mobile app" while "Blog to earn, and other variations like "Post to Earn", "blogging" wouldnt get 1/10th of that.
Either 99% of other dapps move away from long form content, frontends allow for custodial services and rewards are moved to the second layer or adoption will happen never. All you can do is hope for Splinterlands not to leave Hive and grow infinitely.
This will be the Splinterlands chain.
And to be fair This is a 100k campaign and Splinterlands is airdropping a billion USD worth of SPS. Along with that Splinterlands had millions upon million of dollars to work with and a dozen people. Here, its just me.
And the pinpoint of 100k is intended to claim that 100k was spent at that point in time. That is a lie.
