This is gabby from korea. today i will write about when i was in Australia !
I went to Australia Melbourne when i just turned to 18 years old. I was very luck at that time i got job very quickly right in front of my apartment ! I didn't expect that i would work in that cafe for 4 years when i started but i did some how!
when i just started there my rate was $15 per hour but it goes up to $21 per hour at the end.
This is how cafe looks like. While i work in this cafe boss changed 2 times.
First boss was old gay grandpa. but he got stroke so he sold place to one of building owner's daughter .
I think cafe was busier when grandpa was owner and better chef.
They did breakfast menu and coffee until 11:30am.
During the lunch time they serve hot dishes and sandwiches .
And lots of catering such as cheese palette fruit and hot roast stuff.
I have pretty quick hand my part was making catering sandwiches. Sometime i had 200 people's sandwiches by myself. At that time i pile so many sandwiches and cut them neat and pretty and display in tray it was so busy.
After made it all of it . We wrap them and keep in fridge until the delivery time to keep it fresh.
when we had so much catering we used trolley. After i delivered sandwiches trolley made so much noise with asphalt it was embarrassing.
The cafe located in middle of skyscrapers . Whenever i go delivery i had to use left. And i always take selfi there haha. after delivery i could get half an hour break time i could eat whatever i want in the cafe.
We served this kind of food for lunch time. We had different dishes every day.
I miss this cafe granola. It is much better then the one sell in supermarket. I should have learn how to make it when i was there:(
When i did catering there was so many different type of bread i could use such as wrap or roll or baguette bagel sourdough etc. i think if i open sandwich shop i will be still good at it.
This is shoes i wore everyday early in the morning. My shoes were getting dirty so easily and quickly so i only wore one shoes. i think this shoes represent of workingholiday visa state.
work hard ans saving and paying rent and saving . Sometimes was so stressed over the cafe . But i couldn't coz i need to pay bill. i thought i was so stressful at that time. But now i think it was good time. Work was tough but i could save enough.
I guess when i look back the past everything look it was good time like that.
