When I was a teenager, I had a funny mindset that the more number of friends I have, the better my life would be.
I would spend most of my time helping other friends. Going with them anywhere they had some work to do. Helping them out with things.
With time, it was something I was. People took it for granted.
So, after I matured a little bit, I could clearly see people were taking somewhat advantage of my behavior.
Whenever I asked people that I need your help, they would come with excuses, whereas, I had gone out of my way to help them before multiple times before.
And slowly, I started losing friends.
I used to have dozens of friends for a time. Now, I have just a handful. And I have a feeling that they would be my friends till end.
Thanks for sharing this perspective. Have a good day🙂
