Lately I had the pleasure of doing some commissioned work for a few of my friends coworkers that were quitting their job. The oencil caricatures were one of parting gifts that were handed during a good bye party
I had received photos of described persons and a general idea of what should be included in the caricatures (mostly their now former workplace - Valeo and some inside jokes about their job)
Here's the finished number 1
process
Began with a preliminary sketch
Not much look a like of the original photo and the head was taking too much space on sheet. Also the person that requested the drawing wanted to make him look more exhausted from dragging that cart.
Therefore a little tweaks were made and here's the second sketch
2b mechanical pencil.
Switched to 4b pencil for darker lines
And finally 7b pencil for darkest places
And the final result once more
