Dr. Sun Yat-Sen was a western educated Chinese revolutionary, who returned to China to unify and modernize the country. He is known as the “Father of Modern China”. He made three trips to Vancouver, 1897, 1910 and 1911 to raise funds for his cause.
This photo is from the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park which is adjacent to the classical Chinese garden. The park is open to the public, whereas there is an admission is charged to enter the garden.
The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is the first classical Chinese garden to be constructed outside of China.
