The USA is not the only country on this planet. US folks are not the only humans on this planet and their government is not the only one on this planet. Neither their government nor speaks for the whole of humanity. The USA was not the first country to introduce lockdown and suggest mask-wearing and social distancing. It was actually one of the last due to pervading scientific illiteracy in the population, including a cognitively deficient president.
That nonsense about some government conspiracy lying to people about Covid so they cant introduce some world domination Illuminati agenda is ridiculous.
US folks tend to think that no other people/countries on the planet exist so they think that their government controls all humanity. They cannot comprehend that millions of scientists, medical professionals, and engineers from all over the world working together and agreeing about the existence of Covid-19 and measures taken to protect against it including lockdowns.
Thinking that millions of these experts have been designing false data, research, measurement equipment to support the US government secret, corporate agenda is seriously ignorant.

I am glad that lockdowns have been introducing in many countries. The extend of ignorance and scientific literacy is overwhelming in so many countries that just relying on reason and intelligence would not work as all these clowns would just go out without any consideration and respect towards humanity and just spread and infect with the virus.

It's the same as with cognitively deficient anti-vaxxers. Luckily, the majority of the population understands the importance of vaccination so we can decrease the risk and spread of diseases perpetuated by anti-vaxxers.
Sadly, the consensus and understanding in the population about Covid-19 lockdown measures is not as good as for vaccination, so there is no other way than just introduce lockdown.

But sure, let the USA keep getting on without strict measures. Let's see how long it will take before the death toll reaches 500 thousand. The USA is the greatest country in the world, right? So I am sure that will be the greatest in the amount of Covid deaths too.
