I am not sure why you mentioned billionaires. I didn't say anything about billionaires specifically.

Andy I don't see any red herring in my explanation of behavior related to type of people that Carlin is talking about (I exactly addressed the topic that you brought in by posting this video). Red herring would be if I changed the subject.

It seems that you may not understand why they are also victims because you may not recognize the value system disorder that our culture is suffering from. Both poor and wealth suffer from the same values system disorder.
Even if you are wealthy, you are victim of this system. It is catch 22. They are agents of this system by perpetuating it's rotten value system but at the same time are victims of it as this system conditions them to think and behave in such unsustainable way for the humanity and themselves (values and behavior that they express which is neither psychologically sustainable for them not for people that their behaviour affects).
They are not doing it consciously as there is no such thing as free will. We are all products of our environmental conditioning mixed with genetic predetermination. Our life is a mix of random and deterministic events.
If someone really understood that their behaviour is not intelligent and sustainable, they would not be doing it in the first place.

Of course it does not mean that this understanding of social engineering and how our behavioral biology and psychology is conditioned, should not give us right to protect/defend ourselves from such behaviour like billionaires express.
