Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!
Brawl update: Ouch, we dropped to sixth place in the rankings this week. This group is stronger than our usual enemies. Personally, my score is just average. I scored six wins and three losses.
Guild Rank and Personal Performance
We almost made it to the bottom again. The teams on top of us in the standings are strong and was leagues above us.
On a personal note, my score the same as last week with six wins on top of three losses. Although I'd consider it an average score and not really that bad. Every guild member who joined in and contributed earned 5.1k Merits and 52 SPS for their effort.
Featured Battle
The battle ruleset was Lost Magic. I chose the splinter with my best gladiator card available: Death with Xulax Nightwind as my gladiator card and tank. He's at level two and has Thorns ability. Then I followed my tank with an all ranged damage dealers. This is because my archon grants Close Range ability to all ranged units enabling them to attack even in the first position.
The enemy chose Life and was able to neutralize my gladiator card's Thorns ability. The archon provides the Deflect ability to units that offsets the effects of Thorns. His team is strong and he also had a legendary gladiator card. Tatiana Blayde had dual attack of range and melee but she's just the same as my Thraghun. It can be argued that Thraghun may even be better because he has Reach ability. The enemy's team also had some Ulunds that received the Shield ability from the archon. Nonetheless, my team of range units have the higher damage and was able to overcome the enemy.
