Boro boro (ぼろぼろ or ボロボロ) is a Japanese onomatopoeia word that means worn-out or tattered. I often hear it when I'm watching anime to describe something. The Japanese vocabulary is full of onomatopoeia words like doki doki which means nervous. Fuwa fuwa means fluffy, often used to describe stuffed toys or pillows.

I remembered the word "boro boro" while we were in 2nd Street. It's a second hand chain store in Japan where you can buy a lot of items from clothes to luxury bags supposedly for a cheaper price. In one of our trips there, I found this tattered shirt (boro boro no shiatsu) in the picture. What's funny is, it's very expensive costing 15k yen! I don't know if it's a collector's item to justify such a high price but I certainly wouldn't consider buying much less wearing it! 😅
