It's Monday today as most of you know and that of course means that we have 4 days ahead of us till the next weekend 😂 I should remain calm because we should review a wild ranked battle with the card Diemonshark in it. So another episode of Tales from Silver is live and the initiative for this post is the Share your Battle Challenge from @splinterlands. So kick back relax and enjoy the article!
Review of the card
Diemonshark is this week's highlighted card and we are going to review the effectiveness it could have in the Tank position. Well, let's begin with the base stats of this card that is pretty good in my opinion even from level 1. The first real upgrade happens at level 3 when it gets +1 attack damage and at level 4/7 gets an additional ability, the ability enrage first and the ability retaliate second. I recommend using it at any level if you need a card for the tank position because it could be pretty useful at any level.
The Battle
Ruleset
Super Sneak: All melee attack monsters have the sneak ability
Speeding Fury: All monsters have the Enrage ability
Also, the mana cap is 29 and we can play all classes except Life and Death.
Summoner Selection
Daria Dragonscale is the summoner that we are going to use in this battle once again and I have to say that the prices of the rents are pretty high at this time. I was thinking about renting/exploring some new summoners but then I realized that the prices are way too high for that right now. So we are going to proceed with Daria because it's the best solution for me right now but I have to say that for me it does the job pretty well in Silver.
Teams' Formation
So the first card that we are going to review is also our main tank for this battle; Diemonshark. I believe that I say a lot of things earlier about my opinion of this card and as you see I played this card at level 1 and still did a pretty solid job. I didn't say much about the Trumble but I want to highlight that is a very useful Ability that can do a lot of damage under the right circumstances. I truly believe that this card has a lot of value both defensive and aggressive and you would see it in the video of the battle with your own eyes.
In the second place, I chose an unorthodox choice to build my team because I placed the card Hardy Stonefish. My actual thought process for this choice was that I had 1 mana left to fill with a monster so I chose this card but when I had to think about positioning I thought that it
could do more damage in the second position in combination with the Super sneak ability.
Demented Shark is at the third spot and I believe that the reason is quite obvious because my whole formation depends on Melee damage. I chose to place it in the middle of my position because I wanted to protect it from incoming attacks and this is the safest place in this battle.
In the fourth spot I chose to place Venator Kinjo, I have used this monster quite often in my battles, and usually, I choose it because of his ability Reflection Shield but in this case, I was more interested in the other ability Camouflage. Well, of course, I wanted to secure my Shark if my opponent have a card with the blast ability in his formation but I also wanted a sneaky damage dealer at my opponent's backline.
The final spot in my formation was occupied by one of the best choices I did in this battle and in fact, I believe that Djinn Chwala secured my win in this situation. Well, the reason is pretty simple it counters all incoming sneak attacks from our opponent effectively and put extra pressure on these monsters. Thanks to this card I managed to penetrate relatively quickly on my opponent's backline and destroy his entire team.
