The weekend is finally here and I think that many of us are waiting these days to relax and do the things we love and also to escape a little bit from the daily grind! I value this time a lot and I am trying to spend the majority of this time with friends and family but I also like to write posts about my grind for my favorite crypto games! So the initiative is the Social media Challenge from Splinterlands and our goal is to promote the game in a fun and instructive way and to bring more engagement for the game on the Hive platform!
I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words! If you are familiar with the game skip this part! So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn DEC (basically the crypto-coin of the game), the more you play and you are going up in the ladder, the more rewards you get (such as NFT-cards, etc). If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning DEC and grind for NFT cards and more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today one battle for my daily ranked games!
The Battle
Summoner
The summoner we are going to use and try to build around today is QUIX THE DEVIOUS. I'm currently renting this summoner and the reason is that it has a decent cost of 4 Mana Cost and it gives some good disadvantages to our opponent! It gives -1 to all enemy Ranged attack monsters and also reduces the Speed of the enemy team by 1! It's a legendary summoner, so level 1 allows you to play LVL 3 Common monsters, LVL 2 Rare, LVL 2 Epic, and LVL 1 Legendary. I play at Gold rank so I use it at level 2 which means allows me to play LVL 5 Common monsters, LVL 4 Rare, LVL 3 Epic, and LVL 2 Legendary! In order to find the correct battle to use this summoner, you will need to see the history of your opponent! I personally use it when I see that my opponent is going to play Death class with a lot of Range options or the classic Life Range formation, that doesn't mean that you can't use it in other situations!
Team Formations!
Usually, at the beginning of this thread, I am trying to judge the outcome of the battle based on the position of all monsters on the battlefield and I have to say that it's going to be a difficult battle because my opponent's monsters are ideal placed! Usually, when I play with this summoner and I expect Range Attack monster, my approach is to focus on the backline monsters with Sneak or Opportunity monsters!
I placed Living Lava as my first monster because I expected Melee and Ranged attack monsters, so the Shield ability is making this monster the perfect tank for this battle!
My second pick was Sand Worm, the reason was that I wanted to maximize the damage I deal with my opponent's last monster! Also, if my main tank was defeated it can deal the most damage and it has the higher Health!
My third choice was Elven Cutthroat, as we said before the reason is the sneak ability!
Fourth pick was Serpentine Spy, the reason for an opportunity monster was for the possibility that my opponent might play a monster with low health and high damage and its position was at the middle of his formation!
Goblin Shaman is my next pick and the only reason I placed that monster was its ability to reduce the Health of all enemy monsters by 1!
My last spot belongs to Tenyii Striker, and I chose this monster because of his high health and Sneak ability!
Watch the action!
You can watch the battle either on Youtube or on Splinterlands!
I believe that the MVP monster for my team was the Sand Worm because it dealt the necessary damage to the backline monster and later in the opponent's frontline! You can tell me your opinion in the comment section, I would be very happy to discuss your thoughts on this battle! Also, if you have any suggestions and notes about the team's formation or about this article in order to improve I am waiting to hear it!
So without further due enjoy the battle!
