But as we moved into a tokenised society of trade, the trust moved from each other, to the token of transfer. In money we trust, because that is all that matters. If someone pays, that is all that is required, no matter what kind of person they are.
If a society only recognises value when it can be priced, what happens to people whose greatest contributions are thinking, caring, questioning, or holding communities together?
People stop being participants in a shared project and become competitors in a marketplace.
