Five years later, 'GTA V' continues to add sales
GTA V 'continues to add to sales and has already surpassed 95 million units sold, publisher Take Two said in its latest quarterly report.
As noted in VG24 / 7, 'GTA V' was released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with sales continuing through the launch not only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but also on the PC. It is also pointed out that the online mode, 'GTA Online', has been one of the reasons for the continued popularity of 'GTA V', consistently appearing among the most players titles on Steam.
'GTA V' was the latest Rockstar Games to hit the market, a studio that is already working on its next title, 'Red Dead Redemption II', scheduled for release Oct. 26 this year.
