Oh I seem to have done a week of these now. Still plenty more on the pile. A bit of a musical theme today I guess.
Brum Trad Jazz
This site was set up sometime recently to collect pictures of people associated with traditional jazz in or from the Birmingham area over the last seventy years or so. Many people that I know or have known and a few pictures of my Dad, although I could submit quite a few more myself. It's one of those little projects that just needs doing, some scanning and cataloguing, so that I can help build it up a bit.
Generative art using p5.js
My sister's using this to create NFTs - it's interesting stuff, basically the graphics language 'processing' implemented in javascript as I understand it. If I had a spare year or something to play with it...
Review of "Get Back"
I think this review came out before most other people had seen it. I watched the first part and started the second one, but then Christmas happened and... y'know. I don't particularly agree with the reviewer that it threatens your sanity - I think the insights from it as a record of creative collaboration and the culture of the late '60s are the key values. My friends may be a skewed sample, but most people seemed to love it.
Twilight Time
Is this the first chord sheet I've shared? I don't look at them on my phone very often, but I have an inkling that this was one night when I was playing in a pub with friends and thought it might go down well. I like it, it's on the list for a covers album when I get round to that.
