Bamberg was lucky: during the Second World War, the city was not damaged by bombing, retaining the buildings of the 10th-12th centuries of construction. Of greatest interest are the Bamber Cathedral, the old town hall, the old residence and the monastery of St. Michael on the hill. I’ll tell you about the cathedral and the town hall separately, they are very pretty. From Nuremberg you can get here by train in half an hour.
