I was sitting down and listening to some inspiring songs when I thought of drawing a whimsical piece. At first, I thought I would draw some animals, perhaps a cat since that's my favorite animal in the world. I looked at some reference photos and began to draw a face. In the middle of it, I discovered I wasn't feeling motivated enough to draw the rest of the body. So from the face, it morphed into a man with a body and I kept developing it until I had the idea to leave him in the snow. It was quite fun to draw and to now look at. The final illustration can be seen below.

I started with a sketch

It was really loose and rough because I was still contemplating what to do and I really don't care much about my sketches since I know I will paint over.

I then began to loosely paint in some colors to determine how much they'd(the colors) complement each other.

I liked how the eyes turned out. They look sleepy and worn out like a middle aged man who needs a break.
