Bittersweet to hear your child may be leaving his country of birth, and even though I know the grass is not always greener on the other side, I know it would be a move in the right direction as our beautiful country is slowly being decimated by a corrupt government.

Thankfully tourism is still alive and well, and when one goes away, it feels like you're in paradise, but as soon as you enter the city, the reality hits home that Fings ain't wot they used t'be!

I will share a very brief pictorial bio of my son - kind, gentle, intuitive, super considerate, and super bright as well;)

He says that he still remembers just how much he enjoyed jumping in the jolly jumper, even though he still was a little baby - it was a delight watching him smile from ear to ear and chuckle with delight!

My beautiful son, a bright-eyed happy little chappie, still crawling at this stage.

Five weeks in traction in hospital after fracturing his femur - my sister in law who was pregnant at the time, tumbled down the stairs while carrying our son just before his 2nd birthday. Thankfully both mom and baby, who was still waiting to say hello to the world, were ok, and he recovered one whole week sooner than the specialists thought.

Here he came first in a fancy-dress competition as a robot man, with a 'doll in a box' taking second place. Hubby made the outfit, and he had to walk really carefully or he would have gone tumbling!

My two beautiful sons are total opposites, he is a typical Aquarian - laidback, calm, and serene whereas the younger off-spring is a stormy Sagittarian, it's like a hurricane hits the house when he comes to visit - often with a suitcase full of dirty laundry ;)
They were big pals when they were little, but as soon as the hormones came in during their teen years, I often had to play referee! But, if anyone dared say or do something to either of them, they were and still are very quick to defend the other brother, and as they matured, there was peace in the home again!

Both hubby and I are super proud of our two boys, who both live within driving distance from us currently, and even though we do not visit as often as we'd like, we know it's possible to take a quick drive on the spur of the moment.

I say, fly away my child, while you can, as I believe there is not much of a future in our country for young people.

We will stay on in our green valley even though part of it has been destroyed by the forces of nature - much of it to blame on climate change as man has been abusing our beautiful world!

The sun will still rise over the ocean here on the east coast of Africa.
