I fully understand your frustration as my son's girlfriend was super charged to jump onboard but the difficulty with signing up was like throwing water on a fire! NOTE she is a highly skilled pc user, but had to ask my son to help her. He's a Java developer and it even took him a while to figure it out, can't remember the issues but she was totally deflated and said the process really needs to be made easier for everyone, if they battled how the heck would others sign up!!
She had loads of ideas and time to post but at the end of it all she still has not posted!
Maybe see if there are people on Discord who knows who one can speak to as we're losing tons of talented bloggers like this!
