Hi Eric, I do believe it sounds worse looking in from the outside. The media does blow things out of proportion. One has to be careful, but it's always been that way, and we avoid some areas.
Our policing is pathetic, sad to say!
We are being proactive and have neighbourhood watch groups, so immediately report anything suspicious via WhatsApp, and our security companies do regular patrols. My son added extra security measures inside and outside; it's just a way of life that we've become accustomed to.
I am looking forward to moving to a secure estate, still unsure where to go! My heart and mind are playing tug-of-war🙃
