Now this was a good read and one I can relate to, I'd love to have seen their faces when you sat yourself down on the floor!
Here things are the same with many regulations just not making sense! We've had police and defense force brutality with some causing deaths and those were black on black brutality, Collins Khoza being the most talked about death, yet our government plays that down but make a big noise about George Floyd's killing on the other side of the world!
Alcohol sales are now allowed from Mondays to Thursdays but no tobacco sales!
So...I'm not a smoker nor do I encourage it but that doesn't make any sense as alcohol abuse often is the cause of domestic violence! Illegal tobacco sales are at an all time high and it's a known fact that our one minister who is the leader of the pack called the National Command Council charged with setting Covid regulations, has close ties with an illegal tobacco trader! However, there's been some victories in court with groups and individuals taking government on as many of these regulations go against our constitution!
We're finally allowed to operate again although under strict guidelines but we use common sense and fortunately are small with our two units well apart from each other. We continue as before, our units are thoroughly cleaned as always between new guests but our staff have to wear protective gear when doing this. We have to take new guests' temperatures and do a short health questionnaire but they don't mind, actually want to know what their temperatures are...just in case I suppose!
We have to wear our masks when interacting and do so, with new guests especially, or we could face closure again.
We've really been so fed up with it all that we're considering selling up sooner and going down the coast but will see what the future holds!
