To answer your last question, you won't get hold of the community account unless they give you the keys. Controlling the community account gives you more "legitimacy" if that's worth anything at all.

The best thing is probably start your own one, Hive is big enough to have multiple communities of the same genre and it's better for the community as a whole as it gives community owners more incentive to do a better job of it.
