The downvote is like the unlike bottom on traditional social media, used when you disapprove or disagree with a post or author on Hive. I'm sure that is not your intention, because you are so new, so perhaps you will want to be a little careful about downvoting. Obviously, if there is something you feel strongly against, it is your liberty to downvote a post. I thought I'd just point it out in case you're not aware.
