On a moonlit path, the master went on scheming
“I shall acquaint my lovely Queen with magic spells and potions,
So she will know the art of pleasure and devotion
Then in battle heart to heart,
She shall lie upon the bed
With half-closed eyes
As shy as a gazelle.”
Then another thought crossed the arcane adept
Arousing royal visions at odd angles and degrees
“For it may come to pass her majesty prefers to ride the steed,
So she will look down upon me
Eager and agitated in the deed
She shall shout out her affections
Then reverse position and inflections
Around and around
Like a wheel turning
My queen shall kiss my heart
That is now for her burning.”
Having traveled from afar
Along the mountain path
He stood on a ledge with staff in hand
The banners fluttered on the towers
Where summons lay in beds of flowers,
(Or years in the castle dungeon)
“Ay, my Queen awaits,
And I, her subject must adhere.
In the solace of her chamber
To her summons and decrees.”
