I like this intriguing story that used observation and intuition to arrive at the truth.
Now, after many years away from home, I still remember with nostalgia my family’s connection to nature. I work in a big city surrounded by dry hills. I studied climatology, and now I log into computers to find out what’s happening day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute with the changing weather.
I like the rhythm here with a great use of repetition.
In spite of the lack of data, the character follows an intuitive approach combined with old ways and new methods of analysis. She may not have perceived the whole at the beginning, but in the minute details, she found the truth.
The rain came gently during the night, as if on tiptoe, so as not to wake us, but at dawn it unleashed all its power on the city. It was a thunderstorm with heavy rainfall. But the residents were expecting it, and even though there was flooding and property damage, everyone got to safety. And as a good sign, the dry dams and aqueducts filled up, and the rain also brought blessings.
Beautifully written story.
