I think I read about this story in the news, or one just like it. I live by the ocean, so this is the stuff of nightmares for me. I read Gabriel Garcia Marquez' The Story of a Shipwrecked Sailor, and it's an incredible account of a similar (real) situation but told in Marquez unique writing style. This book got him in trouble politically because of the truths revealed in it.
