These moods that take possession of you and so you don't let yourself be distracted by other things,
Absolutely, when the mood and the words flow together nicely, then it's thrilling. I do enjoy the slow methodical process of crafting a story but creative spontaneity is like a downhill ride from the top of a mountain. A rush!
so I would have been very happy if my text had received a little more attention.
You've crafted an excellent tale here and I'm in agreement with you. I still think that putting the Writing Club tag first is not enough. I could be wildly wrong, but I think you actually have to subscribe to the community, and then choose it from the drop down menu, as I showed you with PeakD. If you're using the Hive front end, the button is located in the area shown in the following image:
Clicking on my blog will bring up a list of the communities you have subscribed to. Then you choose from there.
If you publish this way, then your story will show up in the community's feed and everyone will be able to see it, not just those who follow the tag. I believe The InkWell, for example, actually requires that the story be posted in this manner. If your story has successfully posted to the community, then you will see the name of the community in your post header data, as indicated by the arrow in the following image:
When I look at your story post, I don't see the name of the community along the top
I know it's difficult to get feedback. Hive is a strange ecosystem. I think many of us consume massive amounts of info and just want the quick hit of dopamine. In North America, we're fond of fast food and getting stuff now now now. The tradition of careful and deliberate thought is Gone With the Wind. Who wants to seat through a long film when we can just watch the short trailer? We like the flashy and the spectacular. Quick quantum kisses. I'm guilty of this myself.
I wish I knew the secret to getting more feedback. Personally and generally speaking, I am an introvert, so I'm not good at the social part of social media. 😸
You understand Spanish and its interpunction?
Just enough to see that you've done a marvelous job!
