Excellent write up! There would be less pain in this world if more people prepped. It is a difficult mindset to get into, as you indicated, because it deals with anxiety-inducing events. People likely feel kind of sheepish because of the whole toilet paper hoarding debacle early during the pandemic. I live in an earthquake-tsunami prone zone and my prepping is woefully inadequate. Just the other day, the fire alarm went off at 2 AM, and instead of reacting in a measured orderly manner, I was running around like a chicken without a head. Thankfully, it was a false alarm, and I didn't end up roasted like a 🐔. I didn't even have a bug out bag, which is the most basic principle. Gotta get my head off the clouds and do a better job. Thanks for the reminder!
