The ferry glides across the waves, slow and smooth in the inner portion of the harbor. That's when I see the two floatplanes, which are some of the fastest ways to reach out of the way places like the Gulf Islands. One is coming in while the other is taking off. The speed accentuated by the ferry's own changes in speed and velocity. The mountains in the back loom so beautiful and blue.
The floatplane ascends and soon disappears beyond the horizon.
