Today I come to share with you a small videotutorial 📽️ (my first video on HIVE) about how I made a themed box for my collection of 📚 Harry Potter books using recycled cardboard 📦♻️.
Thematic boxes for books or book sagas are a perfect complement to adorn our shelves. These have 2 main functions:
- Aesthetics, of course. They look beautiful adorning any space ✨.
- Conservation, these boxes provide extra protection to the books. From dust, humidity, manipulation and some other casual accident ⚔️
That is why I set out to make a box for my Harry Potter collection and today I come to show you the process of making it. The truth is quite simple, make a box to the size of the books, so that you can enter and exit them without difficulty. And then line this box inside and out, I used white cardboard inside and printed cardboard with a themed design for the outside, but it can be done in many ways: with colored papers, fabrics, leather. There are no limits to the imagination.
To make mine the materials used were:
- Recycled cardboard box
- White glue or white glue
- 250 gram chrome white cardboard
- Cardboard with design printed in laser printer. 250 gram chrome
And the tools:
- Knife
- Rule
- PTFE folder
- Lid of a knob
The designs of the images were maqueted in Photoshop Cs6.

Version en Español Hola Hivers 😀 Hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes un pequeño videotutorial 📽️ (mi primer video en HIVE) sobre como hice una caja temática para mi colección de 📚 libros de Harry Potter utilizando cartón reciclado 📦♻️. Las cajas temáticas para libros o sagas de libros son un complemento perfecto para adornar nuestras estanterías. Estas tienen 2 funciones principales:
Es por esto que me di a la tarea de hacer una caja para mi colección de Harry Potter y hoy vengo a mostrarles el proceso de confección. La verdad es bastante simple, hacer una caja a la medida de los libros, de manera que puedas entrarlos y sacarlos sin dificultad. Y luego forrar esta caja por dentro y por fuera, yo utilicé cartulina blanca por dentro y cartulina impresa con un diseño temático para el exterior, pero puede hacerse de muchas maneras: con papeles de colores, telas, cuero. No hay límites para la imaginación. Para hacer la mía los materiales empleados fueron:
