Today, on May 9th, Russia celebrates Victory Day (День Победы), a day to remember the triumph over fascism in World War II. It’s a meaningful moment filled with gratitude, reflection, and respect for the heroes who fought for peace.
Across Russia, especially here in Moscow, you can feel the spirit of remembrance in every corner of the city. At our university, Stankin, we also took part in honoring this important day with heartfelt commemorations.
As a symbol of respect, the university held a short ceremony where students and professors gathered to lay flowers at the memorial for the fallen heroes. Every flower placed carries deep gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives for future generations.
The atmosphere at Stankin today was both warm and solemn. Despite the chilly weather, the presence of unity and shared memory created a beautiful, touching moment for everyone involved.
It’s such a valuable experience to witness Victory Day here in Russia.
