Creating my own Steemit community

What is Steemit? I’m not sure yet, I’m new here and I’m just exploring and learning. The things I’ve learned so far is that Steemit is not just a blog, it is not a game, it’s not just a social media platform. Steemit is a community. It is a lot more complex. It seems to me, that building the community is the most essential thing here.

I guess I have a difficult task here. I have to build a community from a scratch. I would compare this to moving abroad to another land where you know no one. With time and usually some effort, you will probably have some acquaintances and friends. In a longer period, you will have a community, a place where you belong. However, in the beginning you are pretty much on your own.

I consider myself lucky, since I already knew @markos86, @tarazkp, @smallsteps and @heinze4 here in Steemit. It made me a lot easier to join. Yet, I would like my circles to grow and luckily, some people found me and started to follow. I’m also following them, commenting and voting. With time and activity, I will have my own community here, a place where I feel comfortable.

Now I’m a newbie, but someday I won’t be. Someday, I will be helping other new users to adapt here, to find their place.
