My love for painting appeared in school when I was 15 years old. I was quite artistic before that as well, but I was more concentrated on playing the piano, singing and drawing with pencil while painting wasn’t familiar to me. In a blink of an eye, I discovered myself something that I was so excited about, passionate even. It appeared that I was quite good to interpret paintings and to find deeper meanings behind them. Also painting itself seemed to be my fit.
There was a period of time, when I was painting a lot. I took all painting classes at school, I bought my own equipment to paint at home and I started to visit museums. This passion for painting lasted for quite long. Nearly ten years. Then I grew up. Slowly I gave up painting in university because I just didn’t have time. I had lectures and classes in the mornings, afternoons and daytime, I usually worked for extra money in the evenings, studied in the late evenings and sometimes (read often) at nights. If I had time, I usually just wanted to see a movie in a cozy atmosphere or see my friends. Who can blame me?
After university, I had my chance but unfortunately, I didn’t use it. I guess I just forgot how much I love painting after so many years. That’s a shame that I missed my chance, because now I have an 11 months old son and I also will be working soon. I feel like I’ve never had so little time just for myself. When I do have time apart from my kid, I usually go to the gym, clean, organize and do things that I should have done a long ago. I absolutely hope that I will find myself painting again. Next time when I have free time, I’ll do one thing that I should have done a long ago, I’ll paint.
Remember guys to do things that you love. These things describe us.
