Today it is raining - a gentle rain - and so I will work to try to finish up some indoor projects. I am matting and framing little Mughal miniatures that I bought at that little shop at Malappuram and am drilling holes in the walls of my newly papered little guest bedroom to hang some heavier wood carvings. I moved into a new separate flat a few months ago, till then haven't done any decoration. Gardening time is rapidly approaching and I have started buying flower seeds and bulbs to plant - some I can start indoors now. Starting next Wednesday, we are expecting a stretch of warm sunny days and I will do a lot of gardening.

I will complete wall preparing the guest bedroom and I surely use some helping hand - so many calculations and precise cutting to match the pattern and fit the paper around doors and windows that are not precisely straight and I had to use a level and a plumb line and mark the wall so many times! Of course, I love a challenge!

I have a very good friend, a tall, dark, handsome friend in the drama department whom I love so much but whose name I suddenly can't remember. I sometimes confuse him with another student who is very tall and thin, and very dark who is in the math department. He is very charming and talented as an actor but not at all playing in real life the "hero" but quite humble.

Yesterday, that friend came with a big three-wheeler van where you can put flowers trees & seeds in the back two rows of seats, and we went to the big flower nursery/lumber yard/ hardware store ad he was able to purchase 4 fit by 8 fit sheets of hardboard for art projects, three small lilac bushes [ each a different color], lily bulbs, and flower seed - Spring weather has arrived and I am excited to get outside to work - yesterday I trimmed all of the rose bushes and the small shrub/trees, have dug up all the pots of bonsai trees and cleaned the outside of the pots - only one died over the winter and the rest are going to do fine.

In the nursery, there are lots of flowers. I selected three types of flowers which I am going to buy. The nursery owner is a very nice young guy. I always buy flowers or seeds from his nursery so he knows me very well. Besides, sometimes he gives me nice discounts on flowers. In the picture above those are the daffodils and hibiscus this spring that has come up from the bulbs planted last fall - my first flowers of spring. They will multiply bulbs this summer and in a couple of years, they will form thick masses of flowers.
