We associate evil with pain, suffering, and unpleasant emotions. But there is also an intriguing side to it. The fascinating part of it is the will to hide reality - sometimes we need to face our troubles and tear away that mask that covers up scars of past adjustments which we would not want people to see. Evil brings out a story, where characters must find meaning in life in some way but be true to themselves as well as never lose hope in any imagination. As living beings, we have evolved with a range of needs and capabilities which take over the negative impact for us, some by interaction or others by love or fear and so on. Each unique creature has its own capabilities but evolution does stand for something cruel both inside & outside.
Reality disintegrates before our eyes. Delusions of power blind us with uncertainty and fear. In the midst of constructing our own personal reality, we feel isolated and afraid: feeling evil, hearing destruction first before sensing it existed. Throughout our life, we glimpse a pervasive inner struggle as people turn to their last hope for a brighter tomorrow but an endless reflection prevails in their aftermath. Evil creeps into our lives unannounced; it messes with our balance and ruins an otherwise strong foundation: forcing us to confront that evil selfie that we always ignore in the background of someone else's warm home. Waiting for this black deed that is inside you. It is something that poisons your thoughts and everything you do, takes a cold-hearted aim right at the essence of who we are. This isn't just a little tremor, it's been shaking me ever since I can call to mind. Never without its touch, there is no innocence.
Evil and life seem synonymous in this universe. How cruel is humanity in the face of reality? Will it seek opportunity and ignore fairness and kindness? Evil seems to come from inside us - our very thoughts and expectations for life spark it. When it does grow uncontrollably out of control, people often abandon hope for the future and generosity becomes practically unusable. Life deflates into reality coldness that has no encouragement for our own soul’s spirited excitement about tomorrow. It expects the best from people and then makes innocent people look guilty.
It is evil inside us all. We are not born with it but instead experience it. It is a reflection of our daily reality. Cruelty, thoughtfulness, sense of duty, and perspective. We experience life as ordinary people but does this mean we are simple? Expectation to be extraordinary combined with a hunger for hope creates the worst in everyone – our selfish desires that recognize selflessness only as a means of reaching its goal. Hope provides us the utmost reflexes to turn even what may be foolish action into genius. And yet, inverse darkness always lurks in its perimeter – cruelty, unkindness, and judgmental judgments against others while they put on appearances to show they care just as much to see their goals fulfilled regularly.
Memories of being bullied, witnessing the cruelty and abuse in tyrannical regimes, and being at the mercy of horrors such as extreme poverty might make you think that everything is dark. A lot of harsh realities make you want to give up on life. But there is still this faint hope of what we could do together to work towards a better future if we aim to be better human beings—one act at a time.
